The mission of the Louisville Metro Housing Authority is to transform the lives of families in need by providing a pathway to safe, affordable housing. LMHA is committed to providing quality housing opportunities throughout Louisville that enhance the quality of life for our residents, and working with our community partners to build strong, viable neighborhoods.
Over the last three decades, the Authority and its partners have undertaken an ambitious program to redevelop all of its large family developments. These efforts have successfully resulted in three award winning HOPE VI neighborhood revitalizations efforts at Park DuValle, Liberty Green, and Sheppard Square and a Choice Neighborhoods revitalization effort at Beecher Terrace.
